The SYB story
What started as a small, family-owned operation has grown into a trusted leader in heavy civil construction across North Texas.
SYB Construction was founded by father-and-son team Rick and Randy Bennett. Shirley Yvonne Bennett played an essential role in the company’s formation, and her initials became the name SYB. The company first earned its reputation through quality concrete and structural work.
As the economy gained momentum, SYB entered a period of consistent growth. Strategic investments in skilled people and dependable equipment created a stronger foundation for the company’s future.
SYB made a decisive move into utility construction, expanding its capabilities and opening new opportunities. This direction accelerated the growth of both the company and its team.
As SYB continued to advance, Randy’s sons, Tyler and Logan, joined the company and learned the business from the ground up. Their experience centered on delivering quality work while protecting the reputation built over decades.
Following Rick and Yvonne’s retirement, Tyler and Logan joined the company’s ownership and helped lead SYB into its next chapter. The company has since doubled in size while remaining one of the DFW Metroplex’s most respected contractors.
